Holy basketball batman!

I got up and got dressed this morning and felt much rounder today than I have! I took pictures and think I look absolutely huge!!!! I am 22 weeks and 5 days pregnant. It amazes me how all women carry their babies so differently. I also am beginning to wonder where the heck this baby is going to go over the next 17 weeks. Man that sounds like forever still, and this kid has a whole lot more growing to do before we are done! Just as a reminder I thought it would be fun to compare so the top photo is me at two weeks pregnant, before I was showing and my now picture! The human body is an amazing creature that is for sure!

Crib and Trystan Update!

Mikie put up Trystan's crib last week! My dad brougt it down from Richfield where he has been storing it for us for about a year. My Grandpa Blackburn built them for all of us and did a beautiful job. It is one that turns into the toddler day bed and then a full size bed as well. I haven't put the bedding in it yet because A) I need to go buy a mattress, and B) It is still to early. I don't want to wash all of the bedding then have it set there and collect dust for the next three and a half months so that I just get to wash it again before we actually have him! Some have asked so I measured my tummy around and am 35 1/2 inches. Just shy of three feet around! I went to the doctor yesterday and had an ultrasound. Everything is developing well and normal. Our little man weighs a whole 1 pound and 1 ounce. He is quite proud of his boy parts and likes to show them to anyone who will look. The doctor told me he thinks we will probably have a little streaker on our hands..... Great!!!! He's quite the muscle man too! Likes to show off those biceps! I believe he is going to be all boy, he is always on the go. He kept boxing my stomach yesterday they would push the probe down on my stomach and his little fist would punch at it! It is so much fun to watch him! We are doing a 4d ultrasound in October and can't wait, we are excited to be able to have our family present for that one as well. I will definantly post pictures from that ultrasound! I haven't scanned any of the ones from yesterday yet so no new pictures of the little one today! but mommy and baby boy are doing great!

The Room is Almost Done!!!!!

So Friday Mikie finished painting the clouds!!!! It was the final touch to Trystan's room. It only took us a week to complete it! But it looks fabulous! We still have a couple of little things to do like put the closet doors up and get furniture put together, but the room itself is ready for our little man! We decided to go with the boarder rather than the chair rail to break up the paint colors and it turned out amazing! Mikie and I were both scared to put it up, but I think it was the easiest thing we did! Now all we need is little Trystan to go in the room, but he has to bake for a while still, so we won't get to anxious and wish that on him too quickly! My cousin came over to take pictures for baby shower invitations so here is a decent prego picture of me, I am actually dressed! What an effort that is, as sad as that sounds. I am 20 weeks and 5 days prego in this picture! I will post final pictures after we get all the furniture up in the room, but I think I may wait a little while!

20 down 20 to go!!!!

So I am 20 weeks prego and half way done! The time is going by so fast yet so slow at the same time. Funny how long it seems when you find out you are expecting just two weeks in. This is the 20 week belly shot. Sorry it is such a horrible picture of me but it is too freaking hot here. This is as ready as I get for the day these days! The headless shot shows the belly a little better. I finally am feeling Trystan move, however Mikie can't feel it yet. He feels the need to do summer salts every night when I lay down to go to sleep! I love it!!!! Such an odd feeling having someone moving around inside of you. In fact being pregnant is just an adventure all by itself. Some things I have learned:
1.Trying to sit straight up after laying flat is impossible
2. Rolling over is a chore
3. your center of gravity is completely off, if you try to squat to put away pans you are going to roll backwards and land right on your butt
4. you don't remember anything
5. you feel the need to cry for no reason at all (Thank goodness I haven't had to many of these days)
6. Wierd people go out of their way to open doors for you even when your husband is right behind you, and any of you who know me well, know I have a hard time letting people open the door for me. Ask my husband I rarely let him.
7. Even simple directions become incredibly difficut to understand and follow! We were making bass for dinner one night and mikie asked me to make the chili sauce to go with it. He handed me the receipe he had gotten from his sister it read 2 squirts ketchup, 2 squirts mustard, 2 drops worschtersier sauce. I said is this all thats in it He said yes, I made it said it tasted like mustartd. He tasted it and said did you put the chili sauce in it? I said chili sauce wasn't on the receipe. He laughed and said yeah but it's called chili sauce and we bought the chili sauce at the store today for it remember. I laughed he said here give me the bowl rinsed it down the sink and told me to try again! Such a blonde prego moment!!!

We started painting Trystan's room this weekend too, so here is a sneak peak! We have a lot more to do so stay tuned for the final product! Mikie Airbrushed the clouds! He is so talented. I think they turned out fabulous. Let's hope the baby gets his daddy's artisitc ability and not his mommy's!
