Life Goes On...

Just a short update. It has been a long ten days for me, with many ups a downs. Honestly I did okay until this morning at my post-op follow up. I may have had one other mini meltdown on my poor hubby when we went out for our anniversary, but other than that I have been okay! I'll back up a bit as some of you know what I am talking about but most of you do not. It all started last friday with a Random positive pregnancy test, that I knew in my heart of hearts that yep I was pregnant, but there was no way we were going to get a sweet new baby from this pregnancy. Without going into to much detail, I called my doctor immediately on Friday the 29th of April when I found out I was pregnant. He had me come to the office right away for an ultrasound and blood work. We were pretty sure the ultrasound should an ectopic pregnancy on the right side, but before the doctor did anything about it he wanted to confirm with blood results. The plan was he would call me with blood results late late friday night and Saturday morning I was to go to summerlin ER for Methotrexate injections to get rid of the ectopic pregnancy. Well at 10:30 Friday night the doctor called with the blood test results which of coarse just my luck were boarderline and he was unable to rule out viable pregnancy vs. ectopic. The plan changed and I was to repeat blood work on Sunday after 48 hours. I was given instructions that if my pain got any worse that I was to go to the emergency room. Saturday morning I got up we got dressed and went to run some errands. While at one store, I looked at Mikie and said you have to take me to the ER. The pain had intensified dramatically it hurt to stand on my own two feet. We dropped the baby off at Mikie's mom's and headed to the ER. I called my Doctor on the way there, they got me right into the ER and my doctor called me back after we were settled at the hospital. My doctor was there in surgery all day and just added me to the OR schedule for saturday afternoon. They wheeled my back and took me to the OR about 4pm last saturday. I most definantly had an ectopic pregnancy they did get to it before the tube ruptured. I was in surgery for just over an hour and sent home just after 7PM that night. The gas they used for the surgery (as they did it laproscopic) was horrible!!!! I hope I never have to experience that pain again. that passed after a couple of days. then my throat swelled and spasmed and I completely lost my voice for three days. (Anyone ever here of a pedi-ET tube). I went in for my post-op follow up today. Everything is healing great, my doctor showed me all the pictures from my surgery. the right side was pretty swollen. He has no idea what caused it, but of coarse now that it has happened once we are at a much higher risk of it happening again. I finally had a meltdown today. I couldn't get to my car fast enough after my appointment before the tears started to flow. This is not at all how I dreamed pregnancy number 2 would go, but for now I am going to be grateful that I have an amazing husband, a happy, healthy, sweet and energetic two year old that makes me laugh and smile every day. My mom took last week off work and came to stay, she was amazing help with Trystan, he had so much fun with her, and it was great just to have mom around!!!!!! Thank you, thank you, Thank you.
In the middle of all of this Mikie and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary!!!! I really am the luckiest girl in the world. I can't believe its been 7 years already! Time has flown by. My husband is my rock and I couldn't imagine my life without him!!! Thanks for a wonderful 7 years baby! Hoping for many, many, many more!
