Weddings, Allergic Reactions, Girl Time and Baby Bump!

So this summer has been incredibly busy and I am seriously greatful it is almost over!!!!! But we have had lots of fun. We have been out of town every weekend since we got back from Hawaii and I am done!!!!! The weekend after we got back I headed to St. George for my cousin's bridal shower. I spent the night and had some girl fun with the fam. The weekend after that we headed to Ely for Debi's family reunion. We cooked, and cooked, and cooked some more all went well and we were all greatful that was done and over with!!!! The following weekend it was off to Salt Lake for my little brother's wedding!!!!! Daniel and Ashley were married on Saturday August 2, 2008 in the bountiful temple! I can't believe he is married!!!!! But his new bride seems to be a perfect match for him. We spent the weekend at Uncle Don and Aunt Nanny's where they spoiled us rotten and fed us remarkably well. It is a good thing we weren't staying more than a couple of days because I could have gained at least 20lbs! But it was great to see them and we had a great time. On the way home from Salt Lake we stopped in Richfield and picked up my two youngest sisters for the week. We had so much fun, and they were so good!!!!! On Moday we went and picked up my dogs from the Animal Hospital where they had been boarded for the weekend. Smokey laid on the couch with Brianna all day! He almost died yet again while at the animal hospital!!! Last year he had a really bad allergic reaction to one of his shots, but we had no idea which one. He was due for shots again while he was at the hospital so I told them to just go ahead and give them to him while he was there and made sure they knew about his previous reaction. They premedicated him with benydryl before the shots, but he still had an extremely bad reaction! They called me in Salt Lake to inform me of the reaction, they had shaved both of his front legs, started an IV, were pushing fluids, benydryl and a dose of dexamethosone. Two days of IV fluids later and countless amounts of benydryl, not to mention an outrageous vet bill our little man was on his way to recovery!!!! He was pissed at us though, I guess it's good my little sisters were here to love him. On Tuesday morning we went to the free family movie at the rainbow promenade with my cousin wyndee and her little girl brynlyn. Then after the movie we met up with my stepdad and other two sisters before they flew out and had lunch!!!!
On Wednesday I took the girls to little pastry chef's where they both chose to decorate cakes!!!!
This place is so cool, and relatively reasonable. The kids can choose to do sugar cookies, cupcakes, cakes or even pizza's. They get to use their immaginations and decorate goodies however they like, and the best part is the mess stays there!!!! The girls that work in there are really cute with the little ones as well!
On Thursday we went swimming and played at the park with Wyndee and Brynlyn! Brianna loved the water slide and finally went down without the tube and then swam all the way to the other end of the pool.
After swimming we went back to Wyndee's and fixed some lunch then headed to the little park right there in worthen circle. Brianna found the zipline and absolutely loved it! The kid has some serious upper body strength and stayed on better than all the boys do!
Gracie and Brynlyn liked the little marry-go-round thing! We had a great time but the girls were wiped out after swimming and playing so hard. We went home showered and the girls watched TV on my bed while I took a nap, I was exhausted too!!!!!
My Dad came to pick the girls up on friday and they headed to st. george for Jess and Nate's Wedding. We got up early saturday morning and headed out. It was miserably hot for pictures at the temple. I don't think I have ever felt St. George's as Muggy as it was Saturday Morning. However, Jess looked absolutely gorgeous! The whole day was fun filled wedding. After pictures at the Temple we went to their luncheon. Then Mikie and I went out to My aunt and uncles until the reception. They boys played golf on the wii and had a great time. At 5 we went out for the ring ceremony and reception.
My Step mom made their cake and did a beautiful job as always! She hates to do them and they make her a nervous wreck, but she never dissappoints!
Everything turned out beautifully, but I was done by the end of the day. Mikie and I were done with being out of town and were more than ready to get home. I told the bride goodbye and headed out!!! In this picture of the two of us you can kind of see the baby bump! It is definantly there!!!! In fact this coming weekend me and the girls, my two older sisters, Andrea and Niccole and my other mother Debi are going maternity shopping!!!!! Bring on the elastic baby!!!!

Tell us What you Think!!!

Okay everybody, I put another poll on here and I want to know what all of you think. These are the four names that I like best for the baby, and I like them all equally, so I want to know what you all think. Its easy, all you have to do is go to the side bar and click on the two names you like best, (one girl and one boy) then click the vote button. Make sure you vote on the gender as well if you have not already done so! It is fun for mikie and I to see what our friends and family think!!!! Both poll's close on Tuesday, August 19th. We should find out the sex of the baby that day provided the baby cooperates.

Kauai Trip

We are back much to our dismay! Kauai was gorgeous and I could have stayed there forever without question. We took a drive up Wiamea Canyon, also know as the grand canyon of the pacific! It was absolutely gorgeous. We spent a couple of days just laying on the beach, playing in the waves and blistering our feet! Mikie tried boogie boarding and had a good time with that, I took pictures! We drove to the north side of the island one day and went snorkeling! I felt seriously clostraphobic for some reason while snorkeling and had a mini panic attack where I could not breath! We will blame that on the baby because I had absolutely no issue snorkeling on our honey moon in cancun! Mikie spent almost three hours snorkeling I mostely laid on the beach, but I did go out and try the snorkeling one last time before we left for the day! There were some very odd fish, and some really cool ones too, but my favorite were the sea turtles. They were so chill just like the ones in finding nemo! We took a helicoptor tour of the island and were able to see things not accessable any other way like the waterfall filmed in Jurassic Park and the Napali Coast! The helicopter ride made me want to pass out I got really nauseated and thought I was going to have to use the barf bag, How embarrassing, thank goodness we landed before I had to go to that extreme! We will also blame this on the baby, I have never gotten motion sickness before! But it was a very cool ride and I'm glad we did it! We also went on a kauai backwoods tubing adventure in the old sugar cane irrigation cannal with five hand dug tunnels. This was a fun and relaxing adventure! It was kind of cool floating through the old tunnels. The pinnaple and Coconut are amazing over there. They have wild chickens and roosters just roaming the island as well. The weather was beautiful about 85 every day and 75 at night. A little humid but not horrible. The food was fantastic as well. It is a trip I would repeat in a heartbeat and would recommend to anyone. We are very sad to be home in the hot vegas heat and back to reality and life in general. I don't think I have ever been so depressed to return home from vacation!

Ultrasound and NCLEX

Here is the most recent ultrasound picture of our little monkey! This was taken at 10 weeks so that Mikie and I could hear the Heartbeat! Dr. Joe had a hard time getting a decent picture because this little one moves an aweful lot! I can't feel it yet, but can't wait until I can! However I think I may just be beat to death before the nine months is up! Mikie was at the Dr. with me and got to see the baby by ultrasound for the first time! He was very excited. You could see its little arms or flippers flapping all over the place and you can see the eyes as well! Such a cool experience. The heart sounds like a galloping horse and was also incredible to hear. I was amazed at how much bigger, though still very tiny, the baby had gotten in the last 4 weeks! Our little alien is starting to take the shape of a baby more and more every day! We have an official ultrasound scheduled on Tuesday the 8th before we leave on our vacation! We are both very much looking forward to see how much more our little one has grown in the last two weeks. By the way the head is to the left and the body to the right, the two litle round things on the sides are the arms! Okay enough about baby, this week I also took my state board exams! Lets just say it was totally nerve racking when the computer shut off at the end. I was lucky and only ended up with 75 questions. I waited two very long days for my unofficial results to be posted online. I have never been so nervous to look at anything in my life, but the nerves were all for nothing and I PASSED! What a relief, I guess they really did teach us what we needed to know in school! The learning is far from over, but the tests and hoops are finished for now! and I am officially an RN!!!!! Now I can truly relax for the first time in two years and enjoy a much needed Hawaiian vacation with my fantastic husband who has helped make all of my dreams come true!!!!!!!

Hello Hormonal, Goodbye Sanity!

So, so far this pregnancy thing has been a breeze! I mean sure I have had a few days of nausea and one day of vomitting, but considering how some woman can't keep anything down for the first three months I have been very lucky. The only other complaint that I have is I live in Vegas and it is 110 degrees outside and I feel like I am being roasted on the grill all the time! and I seriously swear I can't breathe, but other than that life has been good! Well apparently the hormones decided yesterday was a great day to go into full swing. I woke up a little irritable yesterday morning, but I figured it was just morning and I do that some times. Mikie went over to his dad's yesterday afternoon to help him with the car that he is rebuilding from scratch. I stayed home and did overdue thank you cards, read a book and looked for jobs! As the day went on I felt myself getting more and more irritable. I decided to apply for one of the jobs that I found and began filling out the online application. Now these applications tend to be quite lengthy and take a good amount of time to fill out. After working on it for an hour and a half I hit a wrong button and deleted the whole thing!! Oh the anger that flared inside. Mikie came home about that time (poor guy) thought I was pissed off at him! Quite the contrary, I could no longer control anything. I was just pissed off in general no reason for it. We sat on the couch Mikie asked what he did to make me so angry, I said I'm just grumpy it has nothing to do with you I swear at first I don't think he believed me! When he looked at me again he said are you going to cry? I said I don't know I might, then I started laughing hysterically until the tears started flowing, I quit laughing and just layed on the couch sobbing the worst part was I couldn't explain why! I felt like I was going insane. Poor Mikie just sat on the couch and didn't know what to do. He tried joking about calling 911- aka mom to see if she had any advice on what to do. That made me laugh again then I went right back to sobbing. This lasted for probably a good 45 min!!! After the roller coaster ride was over Mikie put his hand on my tummy and told the baby to quit making mommy crazy. What a day, lets hope I don't have too many like that I truly feel bad for anyone else who has to witness me like that!!!!

Bellino Bash

On Saturday night we had a huge party at Mike and Debi's house. The party was complete with amazing food, a live band and tons of friends and family! It was a celebration of many events. Mikie got his engineering stamp and is officially a professional engineer. Niccole turned 35 and was excepted to the nursing program which she starts this fall. I graduated from nursing school this spring and will be taking my board exams on July 1st. It was all a great excuse to have a party. Some of the dancing pictures are a little blurry, but kind of cute anyway. We are very blessed to have such amazing friends and a wonderful family!

Sheer Exhaustion from the many potty breaks of Pregnancy

So it has been a while since I posted anything so I guess it is time for an update. Lets start with the first question everyone asks me these days. I am feeling fabulous other than I am exhausted all the time and I live in the bathroom. I have only thrown up once and had two or three days of nausea, but other than that I can't complain. Two weeks ago I went to the doctor and had my first ultrasound. Everything looks great! I got to see the baby's heartbeat which was incredible. The baby was a mere 0.61 cm long and has a heart rate of almost 119 beats per minute. It hit me at that moment that I really was going to be a mommy, and I cried all the way home from the Doctor's office. I haven't had many cravings, but those of you who know me well know that I love chocolate and can eat it at any time during the day, this is the one thing that has not sounded good at all. Instead I crave chewy candy like starbursts, Sour pach kids and Suckers. I also prefer vinegar based dressings such as Italian dressing. I haven't been all that moody and luckily for Mikie when I am I take it out on the dogs before he gets home. Poor cinnamon may not survive! Mikie is finally finished surving out his jury sentance after a long miserable three weeks. Now it is back to work for him to play catch up!!!! We went to Kenny Chesney on Friday Night and had a blast, by far the best concert I have ever been too. I highly recommend going if you ever have the opportunity to go. Other than that there is not much new at our house. We are anxiously awaiting our hawaiian vacation and looking forward to partying the night away with friends and family this upcoming weekend. Stay tuned for new pictures soon!
