Summer Camping Trip!

This past weekend we went camping with the Bellino side of the family up by Mount wheeler in Northern Nevada. We had not been camping for several years and it was Trystan's first camping trip. Our Niece Kylie came and spent the night at our house the night before we left and helped keep Trystan entertained while Mikie and I packed. They mad hats out of Trystan's shorts!
We went on a couple of hike's. trystan had the best seat in the house and would yell go, go, go every time we stopped for a break. Mikie and Papa took turns packing him on our verticle climb for the first hike of the trip.
Then halfway up Trystan decided he was done going up and headed down on his own. This kid knows what he wants, and has a great since of direction.
Kylie stopped to Pose for a picture.
We also spent lots of time playing in the tent. I was so excited Trystan's pack-n-play fit in the tent! He slept awesome even through rain and thunder. Sorry this picture is blurry but I love it anyway. This is his cheese face, and he loved his head lamp.
Me, Kylie and Trystan.
We had a great time playing in the creek as well. The water was freezing and made mikie and I's feet numb... it didn't seem to phase trystan though. I was a little nervous when we got there because the water was moving so quickly. Papa and Trystan had a talk about not going to the water without mommy, daddy, grandma, Auntie cole or uncle richard, because if he fell in we would never see Trystan again!!! It stuck Trystan was really good about the water!

Family photo. My camera was on a weird setting so Trystan and I have ghost faces :(
Daddy's feet were frozen so Mommy got a turn in the water with the monkey!
Trystan was not into posing for photos of the grandkids for grandma, and getting them to all look at the camera is a near impossible feat.
This is up at the alpine lakes as you head up to mount wheeler. This water was not moving so Trystan walked right on in with no fear. He walked more of this hike as well as created his own little detour. This one is not so much a fan of the trails.
Another attempt at a grandkids photo;p
Then there was sledding on ponchos in July! This is of mikie going from the top of the snowbank.
Trystan loved it and just kicked back and drank water from mikie's pack.

I wish these were on video. My in-laws decided to go down together and spun out of control.

My father-in-law stole the poncho, My mother-in-law ended up with her hind end rather cold and wet...we all had a great laugh!

A scenic look at mount wheeler and lake Theresa
What would a hike be without a walking stick! We had a great time and Trystan did Sooooo well. He is asking everyday when we can go again!

Big Boy Underwear!?!?!?!

Don't let this fool you we are no where near potty trained but he actually let me try on his big boy underwear this morning!!! He usually throws them on the ground and says no mommy. So its a start. He sat on the potty for a good 10 minutes this morning too. Needless to say after 10 minutes on the potty with nothing then putting on the big boy underwear he promptly peed in the middle of my bed. LOL!!! I love this kid. Its a start so I will take it! He really wants a bowser car, which has been promised after he learns to pee in the big boy potty. Hopefully this will continue to entice him to try! Any advice on Potty training boys? I am open for suggestions!

Big Boy Bed, and more!!!

This kid is growing up so fast, I can't believe how time is flying by!! My days at home go by far to fast and my days at work drag on forever!!! To bad its not the other way around. We love to swim in the little pool in our backyard, well Trystan does. Mikie and I are shooting targets for the hose and spray bottles:)
Me and My bestest buddy!
This is what you get when a two year old finds his Halloween costume from last year and decides helmets are a good thing when driving like a crazy man!
Yesterday we turned Trystan's bed into a big boy bed!!! He loves it and has done so good with it so far. Once he's laying down he doesn't try to get up and he only rolled out once in the middle of the night last night! The kid is kind of a crazy sleeper.
Things I want to remember:
Trystan: mom how are you
Me: I'm good how are you
Trystan: Feel great;)
That he still wants me to rock-a-bye with him at bedtime
That he wants to be so independent that it drives me crazy, but deep down I love that he wants to do it himself.
He has the best imagination and plays so cute with his toys
He tries to do the dances on the backyardagins...hilarious to watch
He hides under his pillow every morning
The fireworks on the fourth of July scared him to death and we stayed up until 3am before he finally gave up, and the next two nights we went through it all again!
He loves spiderman and captain america just like his daddy did!
He will only drink his milk out of the blue and green sippy cup.

Summer Fun!!!

It has been forever since my last post!!! Sorry. I haven't taken many pictures either, but hopefully the videos will work. It's finally starting to get hot here, not that I am excited about it, but we are way behind as far as vegas weather goes. Of course that means its too hot to go to the park and play so I have found some other fun places for us to hang out this summer. On Mondays Trystan and I attend a parent child Soccer class! We both have a blast. The do a series of games that each last 5 to 8 minutes the class is only an hour long and perfect for the toddler attention span. We kick balls, build castles with cones and kick them over, make choo-choo trains, play red light green light (trystan's favorite) do stretching exercises, stomp on bubbles, and get stickers. I am so glad I signed him up. There are only 5 kids in his class and almost all are boys. Sorry NO pictures of soccer class.
Then I got a membership at a place called Kinderland cafe. Love It!!!! It is an indoor play area for infants and kids under 6. They have ball pits, slides, trucks, blocks, stories, puzzles, trainsets, big bouncy balls, a mini toddler coaster etc. Usually the kids in there are about Trystan's age and younger. We go there two to three times a week. Parents have to stay, but they provide free Wifi and have great coffee and snacks.
We have been hiking and played in the water, but it is too hot for that now, so I bought a little pool and we spend time outside in that or we go to the big pool at the YMCA! We are looking forward to a camping trip the end of July and San Diego in September. I will try to be better about taking picutres but for now here are some cute videos!!!

Life Goes On...

Just a short update. It has been a long ten days for me, with many ups a downs. Honestly I did okay until this morning at my post-op follow up. I may have had one other mini meltdown on my poor hubby when we went out for our anniversary, but other than that I have been okay! I'll back up a bit as some of you know what I am talking about but most of you do not. It all started last friday with a Random positive pregnancy test, that I knew in my heart of hearts that yep I was pregnant, but there was no way we were going to get a sweet new baby from this pregnancy. Without going into to much detail, I called my doctor immediately on Friday the 29th of April when I found out I was pregnant. He had me come to the office right away for an ultrasound and blood work. We were pretty sure the ultrasound should an ectopic pregnancy on the right side, but before the doctor did anything about it he wanted to confirm with blood results. The plan was he would call me with blood results late late friday night and Saturday morning I was to go to summerlin ER for Methotrexate injections to get rid of the ectopic pregnancy. Well at 10:30 Friday night the doctor called with the blood test results which of coarse just my luck were boarderline and he was unable to rule out viable pregnancy vs. ectopic. The plan changed and I was to repeat blood work on Sunday after 48 hours. I was given instructions that if my pain got any worse that I was to go to the emergency room. Saturday morning I got up we got dressed and went to run some errands. While at one store, I looked at Mikie and said you have to take me to the ER. The pain had intensified dramatically it hurt to stand on my own two feet. We dropped the baby off at Mikie's mom's and headed to the ER. I called my Doctor on the way there, they got me right into the ER and my doctor called me back after we were settled at the hospital. My doctor was there in surgery all day and just added me to the OR schedule for saturday afternoon. They wheeled my back and took me to the OR about 4pm last saturday. I most definantly had an ectopic pregnancy they did get to it before the tube ruptured. I was in surgery for just over an hour and sent home just after 7PM that night. The gas they used for the surgery (as they did it laproscopic) was horrible!!!! I hope I never have to experience that pain again. that passed after a couple of days. then my throat swelled and spasmed and I completely lost my voice for three days. (Anyone ever here of a pedi-ET tube). I went in for my post-op follow up today. Everything is healing great, my doctor showed me all the pictures from my surgery. the right side was pretty swollen. He has no idea what caused it, but of coarse now that it has happened once we are at a much higher risk of it happening again. I finally had a meltdown today. I couldn't get to my car fast enough after my appointment before the tears started to flow. This is not at all how I dreamed pregnancy number 2 would go, but for now I am going to be grateful that I have an amazing husband, a happy, healthy, sweet and energetic two year old that makes me laugh and smile every day. My mom took last week off work and came to stay, she was amazing help with Trystan, he had so much fun with her, and it was great just to have mom around!!!!!! Thank you, thank you, Thank you.
In the middle of all of this Mikie and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary!!!! I really am the luckiest girl in the world. I can't believe its been 7 years already! Time has flown by. My husband is my rock and I couldn't imagine my life without him!!! Thanks for a wonderful 7 years baby! Hoping for many, many, many more!

Ferrari Driving Experience!

My hubby has always had a thing for Ferrari's! Last year for our anniversary I was searching for something to get him that he would actually enjoy that had all boy written all over it. I talked to his dad and was going to do the Richard Petty Driving experience out at Las Vegas motor speedway where he would have the opportunity to drive a Race car for a number of laps around the race track at speeds that he is not aloud to drive anywhere else. But when I got and line and started looking, I found The exotic racing experience at the speedway that puts you behind the wheel of Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, etc. Bingo!!!!!! I went with that instead and he finally went out and drove it today!!! He is on the track driving in this first picture!
Just pulling it out of the garage! Pretty sweet ride if I do say so myself.
The Car!
Love the back end!!
And yes I know I should have had him take the helmet off for this one, but he thoroughly enjoyed himself!!! Now he's asking if we can buy one!!! LOL in his wildest dreams!!! I loved the car, but not enough to live in it!!!
My Dad, Sam and the girls came to spend the weekend with us too!!!! Mikie and I got to go on a Date last night wahoooo!!! We had a great time and Trystan is having a blast with Grandma, Grandpa and his littlest Aunts! They had fun playing on the bean bag chair at the speedway this morning.
Trystan thought it was cool Daddy got to drive fast in a "race car"
I had to work Sunday :( (I ended up doing charge nurse for our 53 bed unit all by myself Sunday so good times for me) Mikie took Trystan hiking and they had a blast! they went out to red rock and hiked up to a waterfall. Mikie said Trystan walked all the way in I think he said it was just over 1/2 a mile. Trystan loved every minute of it and Mikie got some great pictures. This one is my favorite.
He loves the rocks and did not want to stay on the trail. He wanted to make his own
He's getting to be a pro at stairs
He wore his hat the entire time.... backwards!
Taking two seconds to look at dad and the camera kind of.
Its finally time to retire the 12 month pants they are becoming high waters!
Seriously have you seen a cuter kid!!!
Finally to the water and of coarse he got soaked!
Playing in the back of the truck after the hike!
Mikie went to pick Trystan up the other night from his mom and dad's and got a muscle man show!!! He ran out on their grass and started showing everyone his "muscles" in several different poses. The pictures are a little blurry but hilarious!! Hopefully they will make you smile and laugh like we did! I love this little boy and he never fails at making me smile.
