BuSy LiTtLe MoNkEy!!!!!

My days at home go by far to quickly, and my nights at work drag on for eternity. There are not enough hours in the day, and when Trystan finally winds down and goes to bed, I am too tired to get anything else done SO...my house is dirty, the laundry is never done, beds are never made, but we have tons of play time consisting of trucks, blocks, trains, and balls, stories, loves, snuggles, bonks, no-no's and a couple of naps. Trystan is learning so much every day and mikie and I are enjoying every minute of it. Last week Mikie put the locks on the cabinets in the kitchen Trystan was so much helpNot to sure what to do with the broiler drawer he is kneeling up to in this photo. Yes he can open it all the way up! The other day I took two seconds to go pee... how dare I and found him in the kitchen with the broiler fully open and he was trying to climb inside of it!!!! AHHHH Thank goodness the oven hadn't been on!Trystan HATES his car seat and becomes a little acrobat every time we go to put him in it, he arches, twists pulls kicks and screams, but if you leave the car seat on the floor, it is the best play toy! He rocks it, stands up to it and once in a while falls in it head first
We discovered the dog food as well! Luckily he doesn't try to eat it, he just picks it up by the handfuls and throws it all over the floor. Poor dogs don't get the luxury of having their food out all day to graze anymore. We have to keep it up, as well as their water dish, because our little monkey LOVES water and turns my kitchen into a mini swimming pool with the dogs water dish!!!!

Some for Everybody!

I have been very fortunate to have the weekends off this far. It has been so nice. The three of us get to spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday together. Trystan loves the weekends and having mommy and daddy both home. This picture is Trystan making four wheeler noises on daddy's shoulders. Yes he really makes four wheeler noises. He picked those up from daddy.

This is Mikie's new truck we bought last weekend. My neice went back to school and my cousin started watching Trystan last week. But Mikie's old truck didn't hold the car seat. Minor problem. Anyway we love the new truck, and trystan loves to ride with daddy. We are so grateful to Wyndee and Chad for taking on Trystan with their two little girls. Wyndee has her hands full. But I love knowing Trystan is safe, and somewhere he is loved when Mommy and Daddy can't be there. Wyndee's oldest Brynlyn, she's three, Introduces trystan as her brother. I love it!!!!! I'm sure they will trade lots of naughty secrets and teach Wyndee's two month old lots of fun stuff. Thank you so much Wyndee!!!! (and chad for putting up with the aftermath). We love you guys!

Psych Nurse I am Not.....

Okay so I have to vent a little bit before I get to the incredibly fabulous 6 month pictures of my little man that my sister-in-law took while we were up the mountain. This week has been a rough work week. I work on a general Med-surg floor here in town. However our unit consists of 8 camera beds for direct observations as well as a new visions program which is a 4 day voluntary detox from numerous drugs and alcohol. Monday night I was board out of my mind. We were super slow I had great patients no big deal. Tuesday night I showed up for work and my preceptor had called in sick. So the nurse they put me with had all of the camera beds. We had a couple of legal 2000 (psych holds) and the others were mainly just fall risks. That night wasn't too horrible... other than I was up to my elbows in poop all night long! (literally) Last night was a whole different ball game. I got to work my preceptor had called off again so I was with the nurse I was with the night before on the camera rooms. However our patients were totally different. We had 5 psych holds and a couple of fallers. One guy had eaten razor blades in attempted suicide. So he was on suicide watch. We had two in restraints. One that was there for polysubstance over dose so the doctor would not write any orders for any meds for her except for IV fluids but she refused the IV. He ordered 1 dose of Ativan but absolutely nothing else. The one dose of ativan did nothing. She through the ativan at me the first time she asked for it and told me it was just candy that was going to do nothing for her.She screamed all night long that she was in pain. I paged the resident twice he finally came up and wrote her an order for a pain medication by IM injection times 1 dose. This lady was pissed of coarse she refused it because it wasn't what she wanted. She would go from singing at the top of her lungs to screaming something about dead bodies and how our psych docotor is an "idiot" and doesn't know what he is doing. Then she started engaging other patients into her horror story of us holding her against her will, and how she was only allowed out on her own 4 days out of the year. The other patient told her to just leave. He got sent back to his room and told not to encourage her anymore. Then she started screaming about how she hates her husband and wants a divorce but he won't give it to her. She literally screamed all night long. Our other patients started asking if they were in a medical hospital or a psychiatric hospital. 7:30 AM could not come fast enough!!!!!

Okay so enough about that. Trystan is growing up so fast. He is crawling all over the place and getting into EVERYTHING. We say no and he halls butt as fast as he can to try and beat us to whatever it is he wants. A favorite is the dogs water bowl. Only I usually don't make it in time. He dumps the whole thing on the kitchen floor and creates a swimming puddle for himself. He is drenched!!!!! and smiling loving every minute of it. He also really likes the dogs food bowl. He likes to throw the food all over the floor. And of course what little kid doesn't like the knobs on the receiver box for the TV and surround sound!!!! He is very busy and wears me out but I love it to pieces. He says NO but at this point is still cute because it usually isn't intentional and is few and far between, however he did say no mama when I went to wash him in the tub. He just wanted to play. By the time we are done with bath time you can't even move in the water because he has so much stuff in there. All of these pictures my Sister-in-law Ashley took while we were up the mountain with my family! I love them Ashley, Thank you so much!!!!

I know, I know... Its Been Forever!!!!!

Okay so I didn't really fall of the face of the earth, but it has been a very long month!!!! Lets start with the boring stuff.... my job! So I started Working Graveyards on a med-surg floor (AKA "the psychiatric ward" LITERALLY)! For now I am training on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. The schedule isn't half bad, and I don't mind working nights at all. In fact I think I am getting more sleep now than Mikie does. I don't dislike the job, but i definantly don't love it. I feel that it is a job just like any other. which sucks because that's definantly not why I went into nursing.... however, it is so not the area I want to work in.... One day I WILL make it to the NICU. Lets hope it is sooner rather than years down the road. It has also been EXTREMELY difficult to leave my little man. I cry every night on my way to work!!! I never dreamed it would be so hard. Mikie is surviving the nights without me even though Trystan isn't to big a fan of sleep. We are teething some more and some nights are literally up every 30 minutes Regaurdless of Tylenol, baby ora-gel, teething rings, sound machines, etc. Any other suggestions are more than welcome. We have had lots of company in the last couple of weeks! My mom and Mike were in town for a few days. Heather finally got to meet Trystan and so did Daniel and Ashley. We went up to the family cabin over the 24th. My camera battery was dead and my SD card was completely full so no pictures SORRY!!!! We had a good time though. It was nice to see all of my Aunts and Grandparents. Trystan enjoyed being able to be outside, but was so done being passed around. My neice had a rough few days with trystan while I slept after getting off work. He was a little whiny and just wanted to be held!!!! Trystan is doing very well and growing up so fast!!!! We had a big week this week. I went to work on Wednesday night and had only been there about an hour and a half when I received this video (it was taken on his cell phone so his voice is really loud and the quality isn't all that great) from mikie...

Yes, Trystan is doing the ARMY CRAWL!!!!!!! (and yes I started crying at work because I missed it.) He is MOBILE.... we are in for it. Now not only is he scooting himself all over he is trying to PULL HIMSELF UP and will stand by himself for a few seconds. He wants to run and not walk. He started WAVING tonight too. It is so cute!!!! My sister in law took pictures of him up the mountain for me. Hopefully I will get those soon so I can post them. Can't wait to see them Ashley!!!!! I will try to get some more pictures up soon. I have been a slacker this month and have not taken one single picture. What a horrible mom!!!!
