Ferrari Driving Experience!

My hubby has always had a thing for Ferrari's! Last year for our anniversary I was searching for something to get him that he would actually enjoy that had all boy written all over it. I talked to his dad and was going to do the Richard Petty Driving experience out at Las Vegas motor speedway where he would have the opportunity to drive a Race car for a number of laps around the race track at speeds that he is not aloud to drive anywhere else. But when I got and line and started looking, I found The exotic racing experience at the speedway that puts you behind the wheel of Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, etc. Bingo!!!!!! I went with that instead and he finally went out and drove it today!!! He is on the track driving in this first picture!
Just pulling it out of the garage! Pretty sweet ride if I do say so myself.
The Car!
Love the back end!!
And yes I know I should have had him take the helmet off for this one, but he thoroughly enjoyed himself!!! Now he's asking if we can buy one!!! LOL in his wildest dreams!!! I loved the car, but not enough to live in it!!!
My Dad, Sam and the girls came to spend the weekend with us too!!!! Mikie and I got to go on a Date last night wahoooo!!! We had a great time and Trystan is having a blast with Grandma, Grandpa and his littlest Aunts! They had fun playing on the bean bag chair at the speedway this morning.
Trystan thought it was cool Daddy got to drive fast in a "race car"
I had to work Sunday :( (I ended up doing charge nurse for our 53 bed unit all by myself Sunday so good times for me) Mikie took Trystan hiking and they had a blast! they went out to red rock and hiked up to a waterfall. Mikie said Trystan walked all the way in I think he said it was just over 1/2 a mile. Trystan loved every minute of it and Mikie got some great pictures. This one is my favorite.
He loves the rocks and did not want to stay on the trail. He wanted to make his own
He's getting to be a pro at stairs
He wore his hat the entire time.... backwards!
Taking two seconds to look at dad and the camera kind of.
Its finally time to retire the 12 month pants they are becoming high waters!
Seriously have you seen a cuter kid!!!
Finally to the water and of coarse he got soaked!
Playing in the back of the truck after the hike!
Mikie went to pick Trystan up the other night from his mom and dad's and got a muscle man show!!! He ran out on their grass and started showing everyone his "muscles" in several different poses. The pictures are a little blurry but hilarious!! Hopefully they will make you smile and laugh like we did! I love this little boy and he never fails at making me smile.

He just keeps going, and going, and going!!!!

Wow!!!! It has been a long time since I updated!!!! I assure you we are all still very much alive and doing well. Our days are filled with trucks, balls, stories, bubbles, and of all things Mario!!! Yes Mario. My two year old is addicted to Mario Kart and as of the last week he is now addicted to Mario Galaxy (flying Mario). It is the first thing he asks for in the morning and it continues all day. Of Course he can't actually play the game, so mom and dad get tortured. I don't think Dad minds as much as mom though;) Though that is what his number one request is, I can only take so much of it and we have had to limit the Wii time. It is getting nice outside, so we frequent the park, and we play outside with the bubble machine. Yesterday we went to the park and they have turned all the splash pads on!!!!! Yeah for water, boooo that it was too cold to play in it. This morning we got ready to go to the park, I had Trystan completely dressed and ready to head out the door. I was making his water and he comes running in the kitchen pantless with his swim trunks in the other hand telling me, suite mommy. It was only 60 degrees outside and still too cool to play in cold water. After fighting to get him dressed again and explaining for the nine hundreth time it was too cold to play in the water. We were finally on our way, but after Trystan screaming and spitting at me all the way to the buffalo exit to the butterfly park, mean mommy took park priveleges away for the day and we went to run errands instead. Maybe Friday we will make it to the park, and it is supposed to be 90 so we can play in the water. Trystan is getting so big and talking so much and so clearly too. He thinks its fun to tell Mikie and I to cry, the other day I told him no I was going to cry he raised his hand like he was going to slap me and said make you cry mommy! Seriously??? He gives the best hugs and kisses though. And he is the life of every party! We went to St. George Saturday for my Cousin's baby's blessing and Trystan had a group of about 10 people young and old alike surrounding him the entire time. He was sticking cars up his shirt saying booboo's his version of boobs!
We went to the speech therapist/feeding specialist a couple of weeks ago. She was amazing and got Trystan to eat things I never thought would be possible. She did not feel that Trystan needed continual therapy for his eating, but felt that his lack of interest in food and eating was a behavioral thing/ control thing! (which is what Mikie and I have thought the entire time). She gave me some great tips and tricks. We play lots of games at our dinner table these days, including puzzles, basketball, blowing bubbles and building towers, but they are working!!!!! Trystan is now eating three full meals a day when he is at home and at Grandma's!!!! Even better than that he is enjoying it, and gets so excited when he finishes his plate!
We went back to the GI specialist right after seeing the speech therapist and he still wanted to do an EGD to "make sure there were no ulcers in the esophagus" I scheduled it really apprehensively as it meant that Trystan would have to have an IV and be put under for the procedure. After talking to Mikie, I called and cancelled the procedure. Neither one of us feel that it is necessary at this point. Trystan has never had reflux problems or shown any symptoms of any kind of gastric ulcers. My mom came out the end of March for a week, so I took the week off and we headed to Utah. Trystan had so much fun playing with my cousin's little boy Torsten. Torsten is only a month older than Trystan and they had a blast. We stayed at my Aunt Margene's and they ran around playing race cars and motorcycles. My mom was letting them jump off the brick fire places, My child has no fear and I love the look on his face in this picture. Thanks for playing with us guys!!! Trystan is still walking around the house with my cell phone calling Torsten!!! ( We wished we lived closer!)
Torsten and Trystan even shared pretty good for the most part!!!
Look at this boy! He looks so big in this picture laying on the floor playing with the computer.
We also got to see all of my mom's sisters and Aunt Brenda drives a hummer!!!! One of Trystan's favorites, so of course she let him play in it!!! He was in heaven.

Uncle Monty's Chickens had baby Chicks that we got to go play with!!! They were so cute, but Trystan was not to sure about them, he thought they were cute from a distance, but did not want to hold them or touch them. Torsten was the complete opposite and wanted to hold them and pet them. It was fun to go to the farm and see the chicken's, cows, & chickee's!
Margene Farah and Torsten!
Trystan shying away from the baby chickee's!
Grandma and Trystan checking out the cows.
This kid actually looked and me and said cheese for a picture!!!! first time ever! My dad same and the girls bought this had for him when they went to Disney land last year and I could never get him to wear it!!!! He loves it now guys, Thank you!!!!! It fits him so well too he bounces around and has the energy of 12 tiggers!
Back view!
Not much else is going on with us, just work, work, work and more work!!!! Hopefully it won't be so long before I update again! Sorry!!!!!

Rough Days!!!!

Don't let this cute little boy fool you at times he has four heads that whirl round and round and round! at least for the last week! He throws himself on the floor screaming and kicking for no apparent reason, He spits and kicks, and slaps and screams orders at the top of his lungs! Time out is fun and a game. Daddy is his favorite and if he can't have Daddy he asks to go to Wyndee's or grandma's. My two year old is on strike from Mommy...and I HATE it. When I'm not home banging my head against the wall because my two year old wants everyone but me I am at work being yelled at by patients, doctors, managers, etc and being physically abused by big drawers full of IV fluids. It's healing nicely, It was completely black and swollen for 4 days!

Undecided...

So I decided it was time for something new!!! I was tired of the ponytail I have been sporting for the last 2 years. so I got rid of it!! I am way blonder than I have EVER been, and I think I like the cut, but I'm not 100%. What do you think? (sorry for the messy background!)

"Mama, hold your baby"

Trystan has been feeling under the weather the last three days. Poor kid woke up Thursday morning hacking and as the day progressed his nose and eyes started running and the fever set in Thursday night. I knew he was not feeling well when I dropped him off at my mother-in-laws on Thursday morning...and I felt like the worst mom ever when I left him, though I knew he would be perfectly fine with grammy! I had yesterday off and we spent the day snuggin and watching movies. I called and made his appointment with The GI specialist yesterday, and while I was on the phone he kept saying "mama hold your baby!" Sweetest thing ever. So I was scheduled to work this morning, but got up with Trystan in the middle of the night and he was running a fever again and wanted to "bye, by" (rockabye). I thought I had him back to sleep so I put him in his bed and he sat up with snot running down to his chin and big tears in his eyes and said "mama hold your baby." I called in!!! sucker maybe so, but I hate leaving him when he is not feeling well. Daddy had to work today and Trystan was going to spend the day with grandma, but sometimes a baby just needs his mama.

Well Visits or Hell Visits!!!!

Why do I dread taking my little one to his well visits..I know they are important and that shots are important but they are stressful appointments for me. At his 18 month appointment I got copies of his growth chart stating that he had fallen below the 5th percentile for his age in both height and weight with a lab order for failure to thrive blood work. Failure to thrive I think not... on the small side yes, the kid goes a hundred miles an hour from the second his little eyes pop open to the minute he falls asleep. No he doesn't eat well either, can he eat yes he knows how to use utensils and does it well, but he is too busy to eat. He only likes low caloric foods such as fruit and he eats it is on the go! He loves loves loves his milk most days so at least he gets some nutrients from that, we try new things all the time, and always put things he does like on his plate along with the new stuff, he just refuses to eat. He eats on average pretty good about once every 5 days. Fast forward to 2 year well visit today, "Mom we are concerned as he is still off the growth chart, I want to send him to a gastointerologist for a complet GI work up. I know we did blood work 6 months ago (which must have come back normal because nobody ever told me otherwise) but I think we should run some more tests. How's his appetite?" see above statements. "Depending on what the GI doctor finds we may send him to an endocrinologist to check growth hormones and do some x-rays and bonescans." We like to see kids in the 50th percentile. Deep down I don't feel there is anything medically wrong with Trystan, but we like to make sure before we say he is just going to be little as it is part of his gene pool." Trystan has gained 10oz and grown and inch in 6 months. I'm grateful he is gaining weight, and I guess I should be grateful they want to check everything out, but instead I just get frustrated. They did all of the same tests on me and my little sister. Meanwhile the entire time we are in the doctor's office Trystan is saying done go home mama, I done with giant crocodile tears rolling down his cheeks.... then of coarse we get shots! Trystan screamed bloody murder, ripped the bandaids off his legs and stuck them onto the medical assistance hand and told him no, go! I always feel like I am to blame when I leave the doctor's office, I hate that my little one doesn't eat well, but its not because we don't try!!!!!!!! Then they told me it was time to take him to the dentist as well. He made the cosmotologist bleed (though I'm pretty sure I mentioned this last time was a complete success)! But wish me luck holding him down for all of these other tests, plus the dentist!!! Sorry for the rant, but sometimes it is necessary to vent the not so exciting moments of our lives.

PS: if anyone has any great ideas or receipes for kids please share!!! I'm fresh out:)

Chugga Chugga Two...yes Two!!!!

I can't Believe my little one is Two already! It seems like I just had him yesterday. We love this sweet, sensitive, rowdy, rambunctious, train loving two year old! I braved it and took him to get his hair cut on his birthday. My heart sank when we walked into the salon and the only girl there was the one he made bleed the last time :( but I held my breath, crossed my fingers and bribed him with a new toy if he would sit on my lap and let the nice lady cut his hair. Worked like a charm!!!! He sat on my lap and didn't budge or make a peep!!! He looks so grown up without the shag hanging over his ears and nearly to his shoulders, my baby looks like a handsome little boy!! I was so proud of him...anyways onto the birthday festivities. On Trystan's birthday we just spent the day together! We went shopping and got some stuff for his party. My dad, sam and the girls came into town that night and Mikie and I got to work creating the train cake! I love the way it turned out, wasn't to sure how good it would taste though so I also made rice crispy treats!Saturday morning before the party, Trystan spent playing with his auntie's! They played racing games outside and played the Wii. The girls were holding onto Trystan shifting his weight on the wii fit board so he was acutally playing the games. He loved it!

Then we had his party at his favorite place...the park!Papa K and Trystan getting ready to play on the slides!
Peyton aka (baby) yes that is what Trystan calls her, but she calls him the same thing:)Brianna, Gracie Trystan, and Brynlyn posing for a pictureKaysen and Gracie!
I love this picture of Brynlyn and Trystan even though all you can see is the back of Trystan's head.Jason, Auntie, Chelsea, Auntie Cole, and uncle RichardGrammy and Trystan!Kylie, Trystan and Gracie going for a walk. The absolute only time Trystan sits at the table to eat is with Wyndee and the girls.Trystan and GracieTrystan and BrynlynBig boy doing the slide all by himself.

When we got to the cake, Trystan blew out his own candle, then took the train apart. He is concentrating so hard too, He sticks his tounge out when he is concentrating hard! mmmmmmm Chocolate! Attempt at a family photoAccomplishments:

We are down to Binki's at nap time and bedtime only!!!!
He says please and Thank you most of the time:)
He knows and will tell us when he pees and poops...though he doesn't think using the big boy potty sounds to grand!
He now says Thomas clearly... before it came out as dumbass;)
He gives the best hugs and kisses, and I love it when he says "mama, hold you!"
He is playing alot more independently, which allows me to get a little more done around the house when I can get myself motivated.
Happy, Happy Birthday little Monster!!!! We love you
