Big News!!!!!

So I have gotten several phone calls to follow up with my last post, so I guess it is time to update!!! YES I GOT THE JOB! The interview went well, they told me they had more interviews and they would call in a week and let me know. I made it to the elevators and the one nurse manager came running after me and offered me a position ON THE SPOT I will be working graveyards and start orientation on the 29th of this month. I am excited to go back to work but so dreading leaving my little man. At least daddy will be at home with him at night.

Our little man is doing very well! He has turned into a whiny little devil, and I want to SHUT MY HEAD IN THE DOOR at least once every day! But he is so stinkin cute. We had to get him a HIGHCHAIR because he is a MANIAC in the BUMBO The five point harness works well and it is much easier to SHOVEL food in the little monkey's mouth because he can't make the 180 DEGREE turn. No he STILL does not like food.

I so wish I would have captured the look on his face as he fell. I APOLOGIZE for the obnoxious RED EYE, but I didn't want to take the time to REMOVE it! I have more fun pictures, but my little man just woke up so STAY TUNED!

Current Happenings

In one week Trystan has learned to sit on his own and roll over from his back to his tummy!!! However he can't figure out how to get back over on his back. Crazy kid he has only been doing that since he was a month old. Needless to say I have had a few long nights. He rolls over in his crib and gets stuck then starts to scream because he wants to roll back over! We tried Bananas he shuttered from head to toe and spit them out:) Sweet potatos were all over his face and not in his mouth. The last couple of mornings he decided he would eat his oatmeal. And some days he is eating better than others. He is SOOOOOOO my child!!!!.

We are putting laminate flooring in our living room, entry way and hallway. It has turned out to be a HUGE project and is taking a lot longer than expected. All of my living room furniture is in my kitchen! The door frames are ripped off of every door in the house and of course we have no base boards either. The living room floor is all in and it looks beautiful. I love it! I will post pictures when we get everything put back together and it is clean. The dogs don't like it and go in Trystan's room to lay on the carpet.

I had an interview with a nurse recruiter on Tuesday, kind of scary it went well and he forwarded my application to the nurse managers of med/surg and the ER. I have an interview for the Med/surg position on Friday morning and am terrified!!! I have never had to interview for a job in my life. I am still hoping that the ER nurse manager will call. I would much rather do that seeing as how I can have up to 9 PATIENTS on a med/surg floor at any given time.... scary! But at this point in time it is somewhere to start, and its only a year then I can transfer to something else, like the NICU which is really where I want to be!

Bangin' Our Heads Against the Wall

On Friday the 15th of May we took Trystan swimming for the first time. Trystan loves his baths and loves to splash in the water so we thought he would like the pool... Wrong!!!! It was too cold for him he just screamed. He looked so cute in his little swim shorts and shirt though. We attempted to put him in a second time and it went much better. We just stuck his legs in on the sunning ledge. He didn't mind it too much and even splashed around a little bit. He liked watching all the other kids that were there though. Horrible picture of me...sorry, but he was throwing such a fit I loved the look on his face! He hated the cold pool!Trystan had more fun sitting on daddy's lap chewing on the boat!

This is my cousin's little girl Brynlyn, she is such a cutie and Trystan loves here!

On Saturday we took Trystan over to meet Aunt Nevada and Charlie, It was great to see them. Trystan had fun trying to chew on Nevada's Necklace. The kid is grabbing and chewing on EVERYTHING he can get his hands onOn Monday the 18th we went for Trystan's 4 month check up and dreaded shots! He did so well with them the first time, but this time he ran a really low fever for two days and has refused almost all food since then. He is driving his dad and I crazy!!!! He went from drinking a 5 or 6 ounce bottle every 3 hours to I'M NOT GOING TO EAT ANYTHING. The only way we can get him to drink a bottle is to get him almost totally asleep then put the bottle in his mouth and he will drink it until its almost gone. We started Oatmeal because he hated the rice cereal so bad he eats it a little better, but only when daddy is standing behind me pretending to eat it too. I started Sweet potatoes three days ago, and he seems to like those, but daddy still has to eat with him. We will try Bananas tomorrow and I am hoping he will like those. Everyone keeps telling us he will eat when he is hungry, the thing is he is hungry, he sucks on his hands, our hands, our noses, his binkie, he smacks his lips gets grumpy and his tummy growls like crazy, I guess its his control thing. We went to the doctor on Friday and they checked for ear infections, but his ears look great! They told us to just keep trying, and watch for dehydration. She told us to give him some pedialyte.... he won't drink that either. I have tried going back to Breastfeeding but he refuses that as well. We are so banging out heads against the wall!!!!! HE IS SO INCREDIBLY STUBBORN!I Love this Face!!!!We got him this Saucer on Sunday and he loves it. There are so many fun things to interact with, but I think his favorite is the mirror. But he loves to be able to stand up on his own!!!!!

4 months and 5 years Down the Road!

The months are flying by and he is getting so big way to fast. He screeches at the top of his lungs, gets extremely excited at seeing the baby in the mirror and would love nothing more than to be mobile!!! He is so much fun and I thoroughly enjoy watching him learn and grow every day!This last weekend was Mikie and I's 5 year anniversary! The time has flown by and so much has changed just in the last year. Our lives now revolove around our little man, but he is so worth every minute of it! Mikie got us a fabulous suite at the Red Rock Hotel and Casino on Friday night. We went out for an incredible dinner at Joe's Stone Crab, then we went bowling. I officially bowled the WORST two games of my life I think I got a 34 the first game and a 59 the second game. I better stick to Wii bowling. My mother-in-law kept the little one all night for us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! Mikie got up early Saturday Morning to go golf with his dad! I got to sleep in take a hot shower without a screaming baby, get ready and then I checked us out of our hotel. It was Heaven! Of coarse I was more than ready to go pick up Trystan . Thanks for a fabulous Anniversary Baby, I love ya!!!

I had to post this picture of my little man's crazy hair. I have been combing it into a mohawk, but this morning I washed his head with a rag and combed it all straight back. He looked in the mirror got excited and laughed so I left it. I think he is going to have some Curl in his hair too. It looked a little wavy until it dried, plus it stays straight up with just water. The curses of Curly hair. Sorry Buddy! Notice the big scratches under his nose and above his eye, sharp long finger nails that are next to impossible to trim plus allergies that cause itchy eyes and nose are a bad combination.

Giggles Squeals and Rice Cereal!!!

We have had so much fun at our house this week. Trystan has learned that he has a voice and uses it very well for mommy and daddy, he is a little shy around everyone else!!! It is so fun to listen to his little, and sometimes not so little noises. In the last two weeks he has started laughing out loud, Squealing at the top of his lungs and letting out a good scream when he wants something. He loves to watch himself in the mirror and gets so excited when he sees other little kids. We went to my neices softball game saturday morning and daddy took him down the slide a few times. (I forgot my camera, sorry no pictures) He wasn't to sure what to make of that, but loved the playground. He is getting very close to rolling over from his back to his tummy and is working on his balance to sit up. We tried Rice Cereal for the first time last night as well. He had it EVERYWHERE! However he did better with the spoon than I thought and I was really impressed that he didn't gag at all! I hope thats a good signs. Maybe he won't have my gag reflex and texture sensitivity after all... Keep your fingers crossed for us, I want him to eat more like his daddy!!!!

What a kid!

So we have had a rocky week since company left! Trystan's schedule got all screwed up. I am not allowed to put him down even long enough to go pee let alone eat. He just screams and screams! Needless to say our house has been a very noisy one for the last week. On Monday I decided it was time to get back into the nap routine so after I fed Trystan I laid him down in his bed, He screamed the most blood curtling scream for almost 2 solid hours. He never gave up and went to sleep, but later that he was sitting in his bumbo chair playing and the next thing I knew he was passed out in his chair. Poor kid was so tired. I am happy to say this last two days have been better. He has willingly laid down for a nap and slept a couple of hours. More exciting news Trystan finally decided to take a bottle again!!!!! I am loving it. However I guess that means it is time for me to start the job hunt.

Happy Easter and Fun Visitors

We have had a very busy Easter weekend full of family fun. Mike and Annie flew in on Thursday night!!! Mike went to Cedar on Friday night to spend some time with his family and Annie has been here with us. She is lots of help with Trystan!!!. It has been fun having them here! Mike built a wooden train for Trystan...and Trystan just sits and stares at it he and his dad will have fun with it one day. Grandma T sent a build-a-bear frog for Trystan that Ribbits and laughs, he loves it! He made a hall for Easter it was almost like Christmas, in fact I am a little nervous about Christmas because this kid is SERIOUSLY spoiled. He got some little teething toys, a bunny that hops, a stuffed ducky, a bumbo chair, some CDs with fun songs for mom to relearn and some board books. We spent all day Saturday and Sunday at Grammy and Grammpy B's house. We went over to Uncle Kaysen and Aunt Daniella's for a BBQ Saturday night as well. Poor Trystan is so done with being gone too. He was a trooper being passed around like a hot potato but so glad to finally be home all day today. Hope everyone had a great Easter!!!!
